This is the dialogue between the part of self that is greedy and would have us take shortcuts toward an immediate reward, and the part of ourselves that wants to do something from a pure motivation to create... I took a month to work this piece out, but had no sketch to work from. it just happened.

There is a lot of oil on this, but it was the last thing I used after building everything else up in water-based paints.

A fucking amazing piece! The details are quite amazing along with your choice of color. I've eaten mushrooms and drawn plenty of times, and then created paintings, but never really painted on shrooms. Did you find yourself having a hard time focusing at times?

no i found it hard to break myself away... it was four different sessions, from the the same bag of funky and all i did was listen to music, paint and eat lots of fruit. there were people hanging out at the house while i was doing this, but I don't remember any of them, or what else was going on... kinda absorbed at the time.

Badass, so insanely intricate. Drugs are the best inspiration, I have yet to try it but I'm sure it is a trip and a half. How long did it take you to do this? God damn it it is so fucking cool.

drugs are the best inspiration to do something inspired by drugs... it took four different sittings about ten hours a piece... maybe more...
